Nevis bakery was established in 1980 by Archie and Hazel Paterson. The last bakery in Fort William closed and Archie, being a professional chef, saw the potential in opening up a new bakery and utilising his baking skills. 35 years on, the business has proven to be extremely successful, and has gone from strength to strength. Nevis Bakery is still very much a family business with son Paul in charge of production and daughter Hazel responsible for administration. The company currently have a retail unit in Fort William with its traditional wholesale market selling to small grocery stores, catering outlets, and now throughout the UK, Ireland, China, Canada and El Salvador C.
